For Elsje Cornelia van der Worp Engwirden born August 7, 1925 in Engwirden died February 19, 2024 in Enschede.

At a young age she had tuberculosis, which at the time required prolonged bed rest in the open air. Since then she has slept with the window open. In her new apartment on the ground floor, she did not want ordinary bars on the window, but something pleasant to look at.

The design in Corten steel, with dimensions of 100 x 187 cm and a thickness of 8 mm, reflects the conversation I had with her.
